Ranee's Story

Empowering Woman through Divorce

Client: Renee, mid-30s, recently divorced with two young children.

Challenge: After her divorce, Ranee struggled with feelings of failure and uncertainty. She felt disconnected and uncertain about her future. This was her high school sweetheart, and she believed they would be together until death do us part. Her husband, at the time, betrayed her trust with infidelity. The juggling of life and work began.

Approach: I utilized a combination of therapy, life coaching, and goal setting to help Ranee rebuild her confidence and redefine her identity. We worked on reframing her negative beliefs, establishing clear boundaries with her ex-husband, and creating healthy routines. A key focus was forgiveness—understanding that it's not the snake bite that kills you, but the venom in your veins. By letting go of resentment, we were able to heal and move forward.

Testimonial: “When I met Brian, the world was black to me. I honestly didn’t know where to start when I walked into our first session. I felt so lost, broken, and I had severe anger. I was barely holding it together for my two kids. I will say this: our first few sessions were the hardest because I had so much anger inside. Brian didn’t just listen; he understood me on a level I never thought possible. Through my sessions, I began to recognize the strength I had inside me—strength that I thought I lost when my marriage ended. It wasn’t easy, but slowly, I began to rebuild not just my life, but my sense of self. The work I’ve done with Brian made me feel like I was finally standing on solid ground again. Brian is special and unique, he’s empathetic and an excellent strategist. Sometimes I joke that his wife Laura, is luckily, but he is always quick to remind me he is far from perfect. Brian is real and the salt of the earth. Trust me! He’s worth every penny."
